Live: IND Vs PAK | Semi-Final | Live Scores and Commentary | U19 World Cup

The blockbuster cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan will resume when the U19 players from the two sides play against each other in the first semifinal of the ICC U19 World Cup in South Africa on Tuesday. Both the teams will come into the contest undefeated. The last time the two were up against each other in the 2018 World Cup semi-final, now India senior cricketer Shubman Gill notched up an unbeaten century to set a 273-run total for India. In response, Pakistan were bowled out for 69 in 29.2 overs--their lowest total in the tournament's history-- as seamer Ishan Porel took a four-wicket haul. The last time Pakistan beat India at the U19 World Cup was way back in 2010 and the Rohail Nazir-led side will look to end their losing streak and also prevent India from reaching their third successive final at the U19 World Cup. "Whenever there is an India-Pakistan match, there is a lot of hype and people from both sides have a lot of expectations from their players. Our boys are prepared both mentally and physically to face India. We have played them back in the Asia Cup so we know their strengths and weaknesses," Nazir had said about the semifinal. India reached the last four with a 74-run win over Australia in the quarterfinals where they were tested against a lethal bowling attack but their all-rounders bailed them out of a tricky situation to bat through the 50 overs. Other than that, India U19 did not need to sweat hard for victories as they claimed an easy 90-run win over Sri Lanka in the opener and bowled debutant Japan out for 41 to register a win with 271 balls remaining. In a rain-affected game, India defeated New Zealand U19 by 44 runs to enter quarterfinals. India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the most consistent batsman thus far in the tournament with 43 fifties in his four innings whereas the rest of the batsmen have had forgetful outings. It were the Indian all-rounders Ravi Bishnoi and Atharva Ankolekar who rescued India in the quarterfinal against Australia. Wristspinner Ravi Bhisnoi has been impressive with his wicket-taking abilities. He also claimed a 4-wicket haul against Japan. Medium-pacer Kartik Tyagi ran through the Australian batting unit as he picked 4 wickets to help India defend a below-par total. Tyagi has taken 9 wickets in the four matches thus far. However, facing Pakistan fast bowlers Abbads Afridi, Mohammad Amir Khan and Tahir Hussain will also be a challenge for the Indian batsmen. Opener Huraira made an impressive debut in the last game, scoring 64 to lead his team to a comprehensive win over Afghanistan after bowlers nicely set up the game. Squads: India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Divyansh Saxena, Tilak Varma, Priyam Garg (capt), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Siddhesh Veer, Atharva Ankolekar, Ravi Bishnoi, Sushant Mishra, Kartik Tyagi, Akash Singh, Vidyadhar Patil, Shubhang Hegde, Shashwat Rawat, Kumar Kushagra. Pakistan: Haider Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Rohail Nazir (wk/capt), Fahad Munir, Qasim Akram, Mohammad Haris, Irfan Khan, Abbas Afridi, Tahir Hussain, Aamir Ali, Mohammad Amir Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Abdul Bangalzai, Muhammad Shehzad, Arish Ali Khan.

LIVE: IND Vs NZ 2nd T20I | Live Scores and Commentary | 2020 Series MATCH FACTS When is New Zealand vs India taking place? Sunday 26th January, 2020 – 06:50 (UK) Where is New Zealand vs India taking place? Eden Park, Auckland What is the expected weather for New Zealand vs India? 21c in sunshine and clear skies TEAM NEWS NEW ZEALAND Despite making over 200 in the first T20I of the five-match series with India, New Zealand could not restrict the tourists sufficiently as they fell to defeat and must now quickly regroup for the second game at Eden Park. Kane Williamson made a welcome return to the side with the skipper notching a half-century and joined Colin Munro and Ross Taylor in surpassing 50 with the latter ending unbeaten on 54 from just 27 deliveries. Hamish Bennett made his T20I debut for the Blackcaps but did not have much of an impact with the ball and that is one area the hosts will need to improve with all-rounders Scott Kuggeleijn and Daryl Mitchell pushing for a spot in the side for this second contest. INDIA India overcame the early loss of Rohit Sharma in their pursuit of 204 as the tourists continued where they left off from their recent ODI series against Australia by claiming a win in the opening T20I match with New Zealand. The Indians did not have the best of time with the ball and were given a solid target to chase down but KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer did most of the damage as they secured the win with six balls to spare. Having brought a large squad for this series, India may look to rotate their side but they are not expected to tinker with their XI too much at this early stage and any big changes will come if and when they secure the series or if players are underperforming. PREDICTION New Zealand and India played out a high-quality encounter in the opening match of what looks like it will be a mouth-watering series and this second game is expected to be just as good. Eden Park is again the venue and there are runs to be had with both sets of bowlers finding it difficult in the first game. The toss could prove to be crucial with India rightly electing to field in the first game and the team chasing will fancy their chances in this contest. Whichever way the toss does go, New Zealand showed enough in that game and can respond to level the series. Squads: India: Virat Kohli (Capt.), Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul (wk), Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar. LIVE: IND Vs NZ 1st T20I | Live Scores and Commentary | 2020 Series Preparations for the World Cup on top of their agenda, India will take on an injury-hit New Zealand in a rare five-match T20 International series starting Friday during which seam-friendly wickets would be a major challenge for the visitors. Unlike most overseas tours, this will be a quick start for the Indian team. In a tight season, the first T20 comes only five days after their last ODI against Australia at home. The team arrived in Auckland on Tuesday and chose to rest on Wednesday. Thursday was when they hit the nets ahead of the tour-opening game. On the plus side, this hectic schedule helps the team management maintain consistency in team selection as they continue experimenting across the available squad in a World Cup year. The T20 showpiece is scheduled to be held in Australia in October this year. Despite injury issues to key white-ball personnel like Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar this past home season, the bench strength has come across adequate and raring to go for challenges ahead. It begins at the top where KL Rahul has stepped up as a key part of India's white-ball plans. He did enough against the West Indies as Shikhar Dhawan's replacement to merit a starting spot, and then formed a solid pairing when Dhawan returned while Rohit Sharma was rested. And now, India will once again start this T20 series with Rohit and Rahul pairing up at the top. Skipper Virat Kohli dropped hints that Rahul's newfound confidence in his dual role as batsman-keeper has given vital options to the team. According to Kohli, Rahul will continue to keep wickets in both ODIs and T20Is, but will open in the shortest format while returning to the middle-order in the 50-over format. It could mean that Prithvi Shaw is being primed for an ODI debut and a potential pairing with Rohit when the three-match series begins on February 5. The skipper also indicated a change in middle order plans. With Rahul keeping wickets, the fit-again Rishabh Pant could lose his spot in the playing eleven. Manish Pandey is expected to play as the fifth specialist batsman and Shreyas Iyer will regain his spot at number four. Pandey, Iyer and Pant batted together in the nets on Thursday, while Sanju Samson hung around, only to pad up later on. The Kerala batsman didn't seem to be in contention for the first T20I. Pant and Pandey could both fit into the playing eleven should India opt for five bowlers and leave out the sixth option in Shivam Dube. Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja are the other two all-round options. New Zealand had beaten India 2-1 in the T20I series last year. The Black Caps also won 2-1 in the T20I series during their Sri Lankan tour, and then drew 2-2 at home against England in a five-match series. Squads: India: Virat Kohli (Capt.), Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul (wk), Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar. New Zealand: Kane Williamson (Capt.), Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor, Scott Kuggeleijn, Colin Munro, Colin de Grandhomme, Tom Bruce, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Tim Seifert (wk), Hamish Bennett, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Blair Tickner.

LIVE: IND Vs AUS 3rd ODI | Live Scores and Commentary | 2020 Series A coveted series-victory will be at stake when a resilient India cricket team face a feisty Australia cricket team in the third and deciding One Day International (ODI) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Sunday, promising a fitting finale between the two leading teams in world cricket. The series was very much expected to go down to the wire but with the way the Australians hammered the hosts in the series opener, it seemed the tourists would run away with their second straight series win in India. However, India showed commendable character in Rajkot to level the series, proving that the panic buttons were pressed prematurely following the 10-wicket loss in Mumbai. More importantly, India got their batting combination right for the second ODI, a fair comment considering the way K L Rahul seized the opportunity in his new batting position number five. With Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan opening, team's best batsman and skipper Virat Kohli returned to his usual number three spot while Shreyas Iyer was back at number four. The same order is likely to be followed on Sunday. Rohit, who is due for a big score in the series, hurt his shoulder while fielding on Friday but Kohli is confident that the star opener will be available for the series decider at the Chinnaswamy stadium. Manish Pandey played in place of injured Rishabh Pant and it remains to be seen if the southpaw is fit for the game. The biggest plus for India from Rajkot was Rahul's power-packed knock at number five, creating a new set of possibilities that might help in improving the team balance. Specialist opener Rahul made the difference in India's innings by batting at a 150-plus strike rate in an unfamiliar position, having batted at three in the previous game. In fact, Kohli went to the extent of saying that it was the best he saw from Rahul at the international level. India are looking to add much needed firepower in the middle-order and Rahul could provide that. In Pant's absence, he also did well behind the wicket, effecting Aaron Finch's stumping besides taking two catches. Before the series, the talk was about 'who would open alongside Rohit?' Will it be Rahul or the fit-again Shikhar Dhawan? With Dhawan scoring big in both the games and Rahul showing his versatility, both have proved their immense value in the playing eleven. Kohli was criticised for tinkering with the batting order in Mumbai, especially on pushing himself down to four to accommodate Rahul but he always knew what he was doing. No significant change is expected even in the bowling composition with team preferring three pacers and two spinners. Kuldeep Yadav, who did not have the best of times in 2019, reaffirmed his value by bowling a match-winning over in which he removed Alex Carey and Steve Smith. The other wrist spinner in the squad, Yuzvendra Chahal, may finally get to play alongside Kuldeep with the Chinnaswamy Stadium being his home ground in the IPL. Another positive for India was Jasprit Bumrah producing a tidy spell, his most impressive since his comeback from injury. He stifled the opposition as wickets came from the other end. Mohammad Shami, who was a tad expensive early on in Rajkot, bowled well towards the end alongside Navdeep Saini. Australia too are unlikely to make wholesale changes in their line-up following the defeat. They were very much in the run chase until Kuldeep got rid of star batsman Smith. The visitors had a great chance of wrapping up the series but were unable to win the crucial moments. The in-form Marnus Labuschagne was impressive in his first ODI innings but got out at the wrong time. Squads: India: Virat Kohli (captain), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, K L Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Shami. Australia: Aaron Finch (Captain), Alex Carey (Wicket-keeper), Patrick Cummins, Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Peter Handscomb, Josh Hazlewood, Marnus Labuschange, Kane Richardson, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Ashton Turner, David Warner and Adam Zampa.
